BBW Hookup Safety: Your Body, Your Rules
Share what you choose, shut down rudeness and meet up with your wits about you.
Four ways to keep the upper hand
Classic, VIP or VIP Plus, every BBW HookUps account has these.
-
Known by your username
The only name other members see is the username you picked. Your real name and email address aren't part of what they get.
Pick one without your surname, your job or your town in it.
-
Placed by town, not street
Your profile places you in your nearest town and goes no further: no address, no live location.
Keep your street to yourself until you've met.
-
Shut the door on anyone
Blocking a member ends their ability to contact you.
Use it the second a chat turns nasty. No explanation needed.
-
Flag what crosses a line
Reports can be made from inside the site, about a member's entire profile or just one of their messages.
Report anything abusive, threatening or scam-like, then block the sender.
Body-shamers get blocked, not answered
Anyone who joins a section about curves and then sends a cruel comment about your weight has told you all you need to know. You don't owe them a reply, an argument or an explanation of your body. Block them so they can't message you again, and report what they sent.
The same goes for messages that treat you as a fetish rather than a person, or keep pushing for something you've already turned down.
Meet somewhere public, then follow your instincts
- Chat first. Get a feel for the person on BBW HookUps before you swap numbers.
- See a recent face. A new photo or a quick video call before you meet shows they match their profile; offer the same.
- Go somewhere lively. A pub or café in town with people around, not anyone's home. Get there under your own steam and keep your drink in sight.
- Loop in a mate. Someone you trust should know the plan, plus a time you'll message them to say all's well.
- Leave if it feels wrong. You don't need a reason, and you don't need to apologise.
Consent keeps it hot
Hot sex needs two people who want the same thing at the same moment. Talk about what you're up for before you meet, and keep checking in once you have: saying yes to a drink isn't saying yes to sex, and a yes at nine o'clock can be a no by eleven.
Fancying your curves gives nobody a right to anything, and the same respect runs the other way. And if either of you has had too much to drink to give a clear yes, call it a night and pick it up another time.
Spot a scammer before they spot you
Dating scammers and fake profiles go wherever people look for company, and they give themselves away in the same few ways.
- They ask for money
- A stranded-abroad story, a crypto tip, a gift card request: however it's framed, keep your money and your bank details to yourself.
- They want your number straight away
- Pushing to switch apps after a few lines is a common tactic.
- They dodge every call and meeting
- Endless excuses not to video call or meet, plus photos fit for a magazine shoot, deserve a second look.
- They threaten you
- If anyone demands money to keep intimate pictures to themselves, don't pay. Stop replying, keep the messages and tell the police.
Report any profile that shows these signs from inside the site, then block it.
Back in control if a night goes wrong
If you feel in danger, get somewhere safe and call 999. Threats, blackmail or harassment that aren't an emergency go to the police on 101. Screenshot the profile and the messages before you block anyone, then report them from inside BBW HookUps.
If something happened that you didn't consent to, you can get medical care and support at a sexual assault referral centre, police or no police.
For a fuller checklist, read the hookup safety tips on the main site. Our features and about pages cover the rest of the section, and the BBW HookUps home page is where it starts.
